Welcome to Rising Sun Trailer Hire. We are a family run trailer hire business based on a 400 acre farm in the Vale of York, which is centrally located to serve the north and the south.

This business was born out of a necessity to diversify in an ever-changing agricultural industry. We identified a demand for quality hire trailers and a reliable, personal service. In 1999 we started with a handful of trailers, hiring them out locally. Since then we’ve never looked back, and twenty years later we now hire to an established customer base of farmers and contractors all over the country.

Our hire fleet includes over 80 trailers of various types, sizes and specifications to meet the challenging and changing needs of today’s agricultural industry. With this in mind, our well-maintained hire fleet comprises mainly 14-20 ton grain, root and silage trailers, along with a number of bale and dump trailers. Every customer has their specific requirements, and being a family business, we can provide a bespoke service, offering options such as easy-sheets, different tyre sizes, silage sides, grain chutes, following drawbar etc. We regularly update our trailer fleet and so often have trailers available for sale.

We deliver our trailers up and down the country using our own haulage fleet to provide a professional and efficient service.
